Legal Services while visiting the United States

L.P.I. currently provides its Members with access to legal services with respect to U.S. matters when travelling in many U.S. States, through the Signature Agency Inc., one of the largest and most respected U.S. pre-paid legal assistance providers.

Prepaid legal assistance by professional lawyers

L.P.I. and Signature Agency Inc. have agreed to the cross-border servicing of each others' Members. When L.P.I. Members are travelling in many U.S. States they may access legal services similar to those available to them through their L.P.I. plan in Canada. Depending upon the type of L.P.I. Membership held, L.P.I. Members are entitled to:

• toll-free telephone access to free legal guidance (L.P.I. LawCALL); and
• L.P.I. LawNET, L.P.I. LawNet Premium and L.P.I. LawNET Business Members may access other legal services about U.S. matters for the same special rate charged to Signature's own Members ($95 USD per hour as of July, 2006)
• L.P.I.'s Canadian Fee Schedule does not apply in the U.S.

Who is Signature Agency Inc.?

Signature's Plans are marketed, on a personal option basis, to 1.4 million customers of banks, associations and retailers throughout the U.S. Signature also has over 2 million Members through Employee Assistance Plans.
